Based on the joint report of French Press Agency and Reuters, press communiqué issued on July 31 by Alstom stated the company and China Guangdong Nuclear Power Holding Co., Ltd signed a contract of more than EUR200m, providing engineering technology of Taishan nuclear power plant and turbine generators for China. The report said this will the nuclear power plant set up by China using European advanced technology of EPR.
The project will be constructed by TMG of Alstom and its Chinese engineering company, Alstom (Wuhan) Engineering & Technology Co., Ltd.
Guy Chardon, Vice-Chairman of TMG of Alstom expressed signature of the contract indicated that the unique technology of Alstom in the design and optimization of turbine generators had been recognized, which made the consortium organized by Alstom and Dongfeng Electric Company Limited continuously cooperate with China in the wake of gaining in February the supply contract of turbo generator set of Taishan nuclear power plant project.
